                     Bill of Rights Watch
"Freedom For Americans stands for freedom for all Americans and for all the individual liberties granted to us in the Bill of Rights."
New York Congressman Brian Higgins (NY-27) continues to act as if the Health and Human Services Mandate that requires religious institutions to pay for services which they find morally objectionable, has not already been decided on by President Obama through his accommodation.  He has not lent any support to religious organizations in opposing the Mandate in it's current form.  He has not held any Town Halls or Press Conferences on Obamcare.   If nothing changes then Higgins will be allowing Amercans' First Amendment guaranteed freedom of religion to be violated.  Click the picture for his  response to one of his constituent's complaints regarding the Mandate.

We also have FFA's letter to Mr. Higgins asking for a meeting to discuss this issue, to which we have received no response ->

We produced a billboard to engage Mr. Higgins in a dialogue to discusss this issue for the following reasons:

•We would like the HHS Mandate repealed due to its attack on the section of the First Amendment which guarantees freedom of religion.

•Congressman Brian Higgins represents over one hundred thousand Christians, many of whom are concerned about losing their religious freedom

•Every violation of individual liberty guaranteed under the Constitution is a threat to the freedom of every American

•We call upon Congressman Higgins to join us in our goal to restore First Amendment religious freedom

•We are thankful for the many WNY supporters of this initiative to restore religious freedom

•Every member of Congress takes an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States. We are asking all of them to live up to this oath

Amendment 1
New York Congresswoman Kathy Hochul(NY-26) indicated the Constitution was not considered regarding the aspect of requiring private institutions to provide contraception, abortifcacients, and sterilizations for free as part of the HHS Mandate to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. She also said that she would let us know which theologicans were consulted when the HHS Department defined what is and what is not a religious institution but we have yet to hear from her regarding this critical freedom of religion question.
California Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi(CA-8)  declares her disregard for the Constitution as a whole.

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg launches a campaign against Stand Your Ground laws which are intended to protect people from intruders and attackers that pose a threat to their life.  He previously said on March 26th that you and I are less safe with these laws.  It is reported that Bloomberg himself travels with armed bodyguards.   Here is some of the text from the Stand Your Ground law:

" A person who is not engaged in an unlawful activity and who is attacked in any other place where he or she has a right to be has no duty to retreat and has the right to stand his or her ground and meet force with force, including deadly force if he or she reasonably believes it is necessary to do so to prevent death or great bodily harm to himself or herself or another or to prevent the commission of a forcible felony."

Update:  Mr. Bloomberg is now also gaining fame for outlawing big sodas in New York City.  Where Rudy Giuliani fought the good fight against terrorists and criminals in New York, Mr. Bloomberg is intent on making sure the Kool-Aid man does not get us.
